Besides, Peas, Ladyfinger, Brinjal, Bottle Gourd, Carrot, Peas, Onion, Tomato, Garlic and Chillies are also grown in the district in minor quantities.

Forests

a) Location of Forests and Area under Afforestation.

An area of 4,525 Acre is under forests, which is about 0.57% of the total area of the district. There is also linear plantation of 390 Km alongside the roads/rails/canals in the district. Trees grown in the area are Kau, Phalai, Kikar and Shisham.

b) Production of Timber and Firewood The production of Timber and Fire-Wood in the district during the period 2008-09 to 2010-11 is not mentionable.

Poultry Population

As per Punjab Development Statistics 2011 there are 279 broiler and 47 layer poultry farms in the district having rearing capacity of 8162 and 500 thousand birds respectively.
